Will Thomson View be 3rd time lucky and finally enbloc after the first 2 failed attempts. Looks like it won't happen again given the NEW Cooling Measures announced by the Govt in 15 Dec 2021.

Thomson View is located minutes is located along the Upper Thomson Road and is one of the most undervalued properties on the Upper Thomson Stretch. It sits right next to the newly opened Thomson MRT on the TEL - Thomson EastCoast Line and opposite Thomson Plaza, Perhaps the most prized possessions of Thomson Vie is the fact that it sits on a the vantage point on top of the hill which offers present and future residents spalling views of the Nature Reserve or MacRitchie Reservoir.

According to anonymous and reliable sources, Thomson View is said to be undergoing enbloc negotiations with a potential developer.

Now almost 9 years later, residents are trying their luck? Needless to say the residents asking price would have gone up. The question is will it be successful this time around or will it fail to materialize again? The Developer if successful in their negotiation with the residents, architect may choose to face all the units to face the reservoir? This type of facing can be seen in another design also along Upper Thomson Road and is much closer to the reservoir too. The estate we are talking about called Lakeview Estate which is also a rather old estate.

Jadescape at Marymount

Given the success of the sales of Jadescape which is developed by Qingjian Realty which is located nearby at Shunfu is expected to yield 1200 units, we have no doubt that the sales of potential New Condo at Thomson View units will be roaring too given its fantastic location to Upper Thomson MRT and to MacRitchie Reservoir.

The only question is if the Developer can dangle a carrot that is so attractive and the price is right for the current owners to bite and to accept the enbloc deal.
